Is financing available?
We do not provide any financing, but many banks have programs designed to provide financing to start-up businesses like franchises. We would be happy to give you the names of several institutions you can contact, such as the Small Business Administration. Massage Heights is unable to estimate whether you will be able to obtain financing for all or any part of the investment, and, if you are able to obtain financing, Massage Heights cannot predict the terms of such financing. Massage Heights does not receive payment for assisting you in applying for such financing. Massage Heights does not guarantee your note, lease or other obligations.
What is the franchise fee?
The franchise fee is $42,000 for the first Retreat and $32,000 for each additional Retreat if option is exercised at the time of investment.
What is the royalty?
Massage Heights has a royalty of 5% charged on the bi-weekly gross revenue, excluding sales tax and tips.
Do I need any previous experience?
Life experience is needed. Massage Heights wants their Franchisees to be energetic, financially-stable team players with a desire to own their own business and a willingness to dedicate themselves. Bring your desire, passion and strong work ethic and we will supply the rest.
How long does the franchise agreement last?
The franchise agreement is a ten year agreement, with the option for an additional ten year renewal.
Who builds and equips the Retreat?
The Franchisee, with help and assistance from Massage Heights, designs the Retreat based on the size of the location. It is then built to spec with certain design standards particular to Massage Heights.
What training is provided?
The new Massage Heights Franchisee will undergo one week of intensive training, both classroom and in-Retreat, covering all aspects of Massage Heights franchise business, including product and service knowledge, Retreat operations, Member communication, billing, customer service, cash management, advertising, promotions, and opening and closing procedures. In addition, there is ongoing support for the life of the franchise.
Are there any Retreats in the U.S.?
Massage Heights currently operates multiple Retreats throughout the United States with more in the development phase.
How long does it take to open the Retreat after signing franchise agreements?
This can vary depending on the site and when the site is available for Massage Heights to begin construction. On average, the Franchisee can count on three to six months after signing the franchise agreements.
Can I own more than one Retreat?
The mark of an excellent franchise is the rate at which Franchisees own more than one Retreat. Massage Heights has a multi-unit program that encourages successful Franchisees to purchase additional Retreats.
How much money will I make?
Profitability varies greatly depending upon a number of factors, including number of Members, location, capacity and operating costs, as well as the ability of the Franchisee to manage and control the business. Massage Heights strives to help its Franchisees be more successful through marketing, proven systems and education.
Is there a protected territory?
Once you choose an available area, your exclusive territory will be determined based upon demographics such as population, as well as distance from other Franchisees.
What are typical Retreat hours?
Currently, Retreats are open:
Monday-Friday: 9am – 9pm
Saturday: 9am – 7pm
Sunday: 10am – 6pm
What software do you use?
Massage Heights provides proprietary billing and scheduling software with 24/7 customer support.
